Humor Can Douse Tension - A Governor in Comedic Custume

Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola aka "Aregbe rascal" has been under pressure since he started his education policy. His administration is being accused of giving preferential treatment to Muslim students at the expense of others. The situation deteriorated a few weeks ago when a few students from baptist high school Iwo decided to wear various religious regalia to school in protest of authority's inaction against Muslim students who were disobeying stipulated school uniform rule.

The governor denied the existence of a religious conspiracy to Islamize Osun state but the opposition party and other critics (PDP) are calling the governor's comments al-Ataqiyya, Islamic word for deception, a religious act of concealing or disguising one’s beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies from non-Muslims when carrying out an Islamic agenda.

The governor took the situation seriously and decided to deal with it in a funny way. He wore a school uniform while commissioning one of the government owned elementary schools in Ile-ife. Its funny, just look at him standing like a drunk Russian wearing an oversized shoe and using double stockings to help his shoe fit. He looks like Kasali Elewele. Lmao.

People in Osun state are saying he is a good governor, he should try to avoid religious issues as they are very sensitive and raise emotions. He'll most likely be returned as Governor in the coming election to lead for another 4 years. Kara o le o
